Alistair Yardley of Purley wanted a solar thermal system to heat his DHW and then use any surplus for supplementary heating of his outdoor swimming pool.  To connect to the swimming pool heat exchanger, Duosolar pre-insulated twin stainless steel flexible pipe was used outside the property.

Three Eco-58-1800-30 were fitted giving a peak output of 4.5kW in full sun.  This system is expected to provide about 3MWh (3000kWh) pa.

The components of the system included:

3 x Eco-nomical 30 tube 58mm evacuated tube collectors

Resol Flowcon A with BS4 controller (variable speed output)

Resol SP1

18 Litre expansion vessel with mounting kit

Inline airscoop

40 Meters of Duo-Solar pre-insulated stainless steel pipe

35 litres glycol

Bowman pool heat exchanger

Santon 250 litre twin coil unvented cylinder

Swimming pool electrical relay and housing

Thanks to Alistair and Justin for this information.
